베리타스 그무개 Veritas wheel marking gauge (metric)

공구를 직접 만들어 쓰는 목수들도 있지만 내 능력을 거기까지 확장하기에는 여력이 되지 못한다.

언젠가는 할지도 모르지만.

수공구를 많이 쓰면서 그무개 욕심이 생긴다.

전통 그무개를 써 오다 베리타스 구형 그무개를 보고 쓸만하다는 생각이 들어 눈금이 있는 놈으로 샀다.

마침 우리나라에서도 베리타스 공구 유통이 되고 있어서 굳이 아마존으로 사지 않아도 되니 반갑다.

공구 품질은 뛰어나다.

좋은 품질, 마무리도 잘 되어 있으며 손에 쥐고 쓰기도 편하다.

눈금이 있어서 맞추기 참 편하다. 그리고 칼 날이 몸체에 쏙 집어 넣을 수 있어서 칼 날 보호도 되고 작업대에 세울 수 있어서 좋다.

그리고 무엇보다 미세조정을 할 수 있는데,  위 그림에서 구리색과 검은색의 큰 볼트를 서로 마주보게 돌려 콜렛을 고정한 후, 몸체를 회전시켜 미세하게 길이를 조정할 수 있다. 몸체를 한 바퀴 다 돌리면 1mm를 늘거나 준다.

조정을 마친 후 몸체 옆의 작은 구리 손잡이를 돌려 쓰면 된다.

날은 무뎌지면 갈아주면 되고 새로 교체해도 된다.

아주 만족스럽다.

Some woodworkers make their own tools by themselves.
But I can't do that now due to several reasons. I'll try someday.

Working with hand tools is pleasant. It opens another world to woodworkers.
I also entered into the hand-tool-working world a few years ago.
That pushes me to get or buy useful marking tools.
Marking tool is very essential for unplugged woodworking

I used Korean classic style marking gauge and used Veritas old version marking gauge.
Because Veritas marking gauge was also good, I bought one a few days ago.

Recently We don't have order Veritas tools through international shopping, because those tools are sold in Korea in reasonable prices. I'm happy.

The quality of marking tool is pretty good. Movement is accurate and finishing is clean.

Metric graduation on the rod provides convenience to accurate adjustment.
The blade can be fully inserted into the body, it is good for keeping blade safe.

Most of all, Micro adjustment function is the best of this tool. There are two collet for tightening. One spin of body up or down 1 mm of rod.

Even the blade goes be dull, you don't have to worry about it. You can grind on the sand paper or buy replacement blades.

I'm satisfied with this gauge.
