비밀 기지와 목공 Woodworking for building a secret base

도서관에서 '비밀기지 만들기' 책을 빌려 봤다. 우연히 눈에 뜨인 책이다.

일본에는 참 사소한 소재의 책이 널려 있다는 걸 새삼 느낀다.

원제는 秘密基地の作り方

어렸을 때 작고 은밀한 장소에서 친구와 나누던 이야기와 간식은

소중한 경험으로 마음에 품고 있다.

이 책은 그런 경험이 모아져 있고 아이들에게 동심을 살릴 비밀 기지를 만드는 방법을 소개해 준다. 독특한 소재이기는 하지만 비밀 기지를 만드는 방법을 자세히 설명하지는 않는다. 그렇지만, 어린이들이 기지를 만들 수 있는  놀이동산을 만든 경험은 상당히 신선하다.

사진처럼 마당에서 아이들이 나무와 공구를 활용해 튼튼한 기지를 만드는 프로젝트를 해 보면 매우 즐거운 경험일 게다.

그 책의 내용에 착안해서 교실에서 아이들과 비밀 기지를 만들었다. 개인 사물함과 수학 학습용 현수막을 이용했다. 아이들은 매우 재미있게 했고 그 장소에 애착을 가졌다.

교실 뒤와 양 옆 세 곳에 비밀 기지를 만들었다. 사물함과 커다란 현수막을 이용했는데, 지붕이 된 현수막 아래에서 아이들이 책을 읽거나 놀이를 했다.  집단 갈등이 생길 수 있으니 부작용 예방을 위한 사전 교육이 필수다.

I found a interesting book at the local library. It is 'Building secret base'.

Sometimes I envy the wide range of themes for books in Japan. Japanese can write books about so trifle topics.

I think that almost everyone has their own experiences of secret bases. 

The memory of staying with friends, talks with fellows are alwiays in our heart.

This is a collection of those kind of experiences, not about how to make secret base.

The idea of theme park of secret base is very fresh.

As you see in the upper picture, Children will be very happy if they can build their base as they wish, Especially using power tools and lumbers.

I drew an idea from the book and tried to set several bases in my classroom. I moved students personal lockers and set walls. Big banner-It was actually for math training- for roof.

The first graders loved those places. They play some games and read books under the banner silently. 

There were some little conflicts between bases. To prevent bad situation, Make a rule for Secret Base Playing with students.
